Hi, I’m Michel (“Michelle”) Maroney, Broker-Owner of Maroney Real Estate.
I am proud to be a 2nd Generation Real Estate Agent and am often quoted as saying, “it’s in my blood” and that feels very true.
I have been immersed in the business since my Mother was first licensed in 1976. Never knowing a babysitter, I was my Mother’s shadow and I paid attention. I worked my first office job from the age of 17 to 20 at the Real Estate Office where she was an Agent, I earned an Associates Degree at Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL and in 1995, began working for a large insurance company.
I eventually relocated to TN in 2005 and settled in Rutherford County, though many of my work hours were spent in Williamson County. I spent a total of 17 years in the insurance industry. For approximately 12 years of that time, I was a single mother who needed the benefits and 9-5 work schedule, all the while, dreaming of my own career in real estate.
In 2009, I obtained my real estate license. In 2012, shortly after remarrying, I transferred my license so I may work along side my mentor, a real estate broker and a sweet lady who would become a true friend. In August of 2012, I set a five year goal to leave corporate America. However, by the end of July 2014, I had my business built up enough so that I was able to leave my desk job and pursue my life long dream FULL TIME! (A little ahead of schedule.)
I was thrilled the time had finally come to put my whole heart into helping others in a career I am so passionate about. I am enjoying every minute of serving the Real Estate needs of Middle TN and the folks I am meeting along the way.
Every move, be it buying or selling, is a part of someone’s journey in life. I have lived many of those journey’s myself — be it buying a first home, to purchasing a home and moving into it on the day you become a single parent, to a corporate move out of state, to buying a new home due to marriage. It is these journeys in life that we trust family, friends, church family and yes…even trusted professionals to be along side us helping to make each move a smooth transition. I have obtained the Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR®) designation from the National Association of Realtors, proudly support our Veterans by the ‘Did You Serve?’ initiative, have earned certification from Toastmasters International and have a genuine passion for helping others.
In addition, I have a deep rooted love of the real estate business and can say without hesitation, I love what I do! I remain a Rutherford County Resident and proudly serve many areas of Middle TN. I have closed homes as far North as Ashland City & Clarksville to the North, as far as Fairview to the West and as far as Bell Buckle to the South and Manchester to the Southeast. The majority of my time is spent in Rutherford County, Nolensville, Arrington, Brentwood, Franklin, Spring Hill, Mt. Juliet, Lebanon & Hendersonville.
I am now happily married, with five adult children between us, four grandchildren and we are in the process of adopting an older child who needs a loving forever home. My husband and I are members of a local church and greatly enjoy time with family, friends and being involved in the community. When I’m not working or with family, I enjoy genealogy, photography, scrap booking, hiking and an occasional golf lesson from my husband! (One day, I’ll be as good as him. Well, that’s probably a stretch!)
I would love to hear about YOUR needs and how I may be of assistance. I am available Monday through Saturday and after 1:00pm on Sundays. Please do not hesitate to contact me to help your family on it’s journey to finding a new home or selling your current home as you take the step into the next phase of your life.
(Update 2018. I am SO blessed to continue to serve Middle TN by opening Maroney Real Estate. The new office is JUST over the Rutherford County line, in Bedford County. My service areas have not changed much; I hope to stay within an hour drive of the office and am proud to now service Bedford County and the surrounding areas.)
Best Wishes, Michel Ann Maroney
