Mattamy Homes, who started building homes in Canada, now has over 150 communities across North America. All of their homes have been designed by architects, who strive to ensure that their designs take into account the overall style of the neighborhood and the lifestyle of the individuals and families who will call their properties “home.”

The Orlando area has such a huge selection of great restaurants and eateries that sometimes it is hard to know which ones to try. Recommendations from friends are always a good place to start though, and yesterday we took the advice of some.
We tried a newer restaurant located at the Mall at Millenia called Crave. For those of you who are not familiar with the Mall at Millenia, it is a gorgeous shopping Mall that features a wide variety of stores and restaurants; such as Tiffany & Co., Banana Republic, Juicy Couture, Nieman Marcus, The Cheesecake Factory, and so on. Crave actually lies just outside the main mall building and offers a diverse menu selection.
We happened to be there for dinner on a Sunday and were able to take advantage of some great specials like the all‐you-can-eat Opilio crab legs and prime rib served with seasoned mashed potatoes and a large sushi sampler that consisted of your choice of 3 rolls and 10 pieces of nigiri sushi. Some of the other dishes sampled by our party were the seafood flatbread, NY strip steak with sweet potatoes and pesto green beans. Everything was wonderful and the service was great. It’s definitely a place worth checking out when you’re in the area. I am sure we will be back again!

How many of you commute to work every day? What’s your monthly commuting expense?
The cost can be rather high, especially for many of us who work in large metropolitan areas with lots of traffic. There’s the cost of gas, auto maintenance, parking, and possible tolls. What if you could cut your commute down to a few feet? Yes, feet!
Celebration has an area in the Main Village known as the Home Business District. This area consists of a small number of homes right downtown along Celebration Avenue and Front Street. These are homes that don’t look any different architecturally from other homes in Celebration, but they are zoned for small businesses as well as residential use. Some of them are currently being used as medical practices, real estate companies, law firms, dental offices, and investment brokerages. The owners of these homes can live, as well as operate a business, from them so long as there’s storefront advertising and access for clients and/or customers.
They all have street parking and are within a block or two of the downtown restaurants and shops. The owners of these homes have secured themselves a prime location to enjoy all that Celebration has to offer and a very visible office space for their clientele and constant advertising.
If you are thinking of moving to Celebration and plan to relocate or start a new business, then these homes could be a great opportunity for you. Who wouldn’t want to work in such gorgeous surroundings and not have to fight traffic!

HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
Across the country Americans are getting patriotic for the upcoming holiday weekend, and Celebration residents are no different. The 4th of July festival is one of the biggest events we have all year with so many things for families to do.
The downtown streets have been decorated with American flags and will be closed off starting tomorrow to get ready for the concerts and parade. Many food and retails tents will set up for patrons to visit while walking around downtown this weekend. Every year we have a different theme for this event, and this year is ’80’s Flashback’ complete with a costume contest and 80’s music performances.
The 4th of July celebration will start off with the annual parade, and that sets the tone for the rest of festivities. The parade theme this year is ‘Going Green for the Red, White, and Blue!’ Parade entries will be decorated with recycled and reused items. There will be small floats, dancers, decorated cars, and even decked out NEV’s. There will be plenty of different food to try from our local restaurants and activities for the kids and adults alike. Come out an enjoy this fun event!
