Great Food & Good Times at Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe

Living in the greater Orlando area, I have such a wealth of possibilities when it comes to dining out. Like most large cities, we have every kind of cuisine imaginable available to us. So how do you know which places are good? Well recommendations from friends always help!

Some good friends of ours turned us on to Hollerbach’s Willow Tree Cafe in Sanford, FL. Now it’s a bit of a trek from where we are in Celebration, FL (about a 50 minute drive), but well worth the time it takes to get there. Hollerbach’s is an authentic German restaurant set in the historic district of Sanford. You can hear the restaurant from down the street. Yes, I said hear. Not only do you get amazing German fare in a very welcoming setting, but you also get entertainment. Every evening, Thursday through Sunday, the dynamic duo of Jimmy and Eckhard entertain guests with lively music, singing, and folk instruments.

This family-owned and operated restaurant features a large menu that includes both traditional German favorites and family recipes alike, and as with any noteworthy German restaurant, it has an extensive beer and wine list with over 50 different options to chose from.

So if you are looking for a place to relax with family and friends, this is a great place to try. The Schnitzel is out of this world!
