The Lake Nona area of Orlando has been experiencing rapid growth across the board over the last 2 years. The job market, real estate market, and economy of this area has changed drastically in this time period, and there is even more potential on the horizon.

With the opening of the multiple facilities that make up Medical City, more and more businesses have come to the area to service these new employees and residents. And even more shops and restaurants are slated to be open early in 2014 at the Town Center. With 2 wonderful golf courses, over 40 miles of walking trails, A rated schools, multiple parks, Valencia Community College, and so many other amenities, it’s no wonder people want to LIVE & WORK here.

Can I Still Get a Great Deal on a Foreclosure?

I am often asked this question. Of course as the market has shifted and inventory has shrunk significantly, the foreclosure deals have been fewer and farther between. Buyers, of course, still want to get a good a deal on their property purchase, and while that is possible, it is not as easy.

Recently I had clients looking for a foreclosure condo here in Celebration. It took us approximately 6 months to find what they were looking for. They were not local buyers, so they only came in to town twice during the course of our search. We were unable to find exactly what they were looking for either time, but I was able to garner a lot of feedback from them regarding their preferences and needs. I then watched the properties coming on the market every day until I found exactly what they were looking for. I then went to the property myself to take extra pictures for them and quickly assess the unit’s condition. Because we had established such a wonderful rapport during this process, they made an offer on the property sight unseen based on my recommendation the first day the property was on the market. I was able to secure this property for my clients by moving very quickly. They came down prior to closing for the inspection and fell in love. They now live in their gorgeous 3 bedroom bedroom condo right here in Celebration and are very happy with their purchase.

New School Coming to Celebration

Rapid progress is being made at the construction site on Celebration Place located next to the Fire Station. Creation Kids Village, a Child Care and Developmental Center, is slated to be open August 2013 and will have the capacity to teach and care for 177 kids. Their early childhood education program will be based on Christian values and focused on health. This new school gives area residents yet another wonderful educational opportunity for their children to explore.

Celebration’s ‘Sci-Fi’ 4th of July Celebration

The 4th of July celebration always draws a large crowd here in Celebration,FL,  and I am sure this year will be no different. In past years, we have seen a myriad of different themes and decorations. Well this year Celebration Town Center has decided to go other-worldly!

Celebration Town Center joined forces with MegaCon to bring this year’s celebration to life. There will be a movie-themed costume contest, a fireworks display with synchronized sc-fi music soundtrack, bounce house for the kids, live music from Oliver’s Queen, Jordyn Kane, DJ Tami, Gina Marie Incandela, and a wonderful tribute to our veterans. There is always something for people and kids of all ages and admission is free.
