Here are a few fun activities we’ve found for those looking to celebrate this Labor Day Weekend.

 

#1. Labor Day Boat Party

Head on over to Jack London Square this upcoming Sunday for this awesome sailing event. What’s included you ask? #2. Free Movies @ the Drive-In

If you are in the San Jose area this Labor Day Weekend, make sure to check out the West Wind Capitol Drive-In! To celebrate, West Wind they will be showing Avengers: Endgame, Aladdin, Men In Black, Secret Life of Pets 2, plus two more summer hits FOR FREE. Gates open at 6:00pm and movies will start at sunset. Head over and enjoy some music, games and movies for the whole family!

#3. Kings Mountain Art Fair 

Where: 13899 Skyline Blvd, Woodside CA 94062

When: August 31st – September 2nd, 10 am – 5 pm, Breakfast 8 am – 10:30 am

Started in 1963, the Kings Mountain Art Fair is an annual event, held every Labor Day weekend. Known for its stunning location among the redwoods and for its unique and varied artists, the Kings Mountain Art Fair celebrates over 50 years of art and ambiance.  All proceeds from the Fair are used to support the Kings Mountain Volunteer Fire Brigade, the Community Center building, special programs for area youngsters and students at our public school, the publication of the community’s newsletter, and to cover the Fair’s expenses. Admission and parking are free!

#4. Begonia Festival 

Where: Downtown Capitola

When: Friday, August 30th – Monday, September 2nd

For those looking to enjoy the beautiful coast this Labor Day Weekend, make sure you stop by the Begonia Festival in Capitola! This historical event is a great little festival that started out in the early 1950’s. The Festival is packed full of fun events. It kicks off with a dance party produced by local dance groups, and continues through the weekend with concerts, a movie, sand sculpture contests, children’s art – all great family fun. The signature event is Sunday’s Nautical Parade, which includes begonia-laden barges floating down Soquel Creek in a whimsical water fantasy. Bring your sunscreen!

#5. Los Gatos Park Dance 

Where: Oak Meadow Park, Los Gatos CA

Come celebrate this weekend  with a fantastic night of community, friends and live music dancing on a 3000 sq. ft. dance floor featuring Los Gatos’ own The Houserockers! The Houserockers are one of the hottest, in demand and hardest working bands in Northern California. The Houserockers are a 10 piece Rock & Soul group from Los Gatos, CA that plays the greatest songs ever recorded. The band is known for their high energy, fun performances that gets everyone up dancing and singing to the music of The Rolling Stones, Earth Wind and Fire, Bruno Mars, Tower of Power, Springsteen, Stevie Wonder, and much more.  Get ready for the best Rock & Soul show in town – and rock the night away with The Houserockers.
