It’s a bird…it’s a plane…it’s more than 25 hot-air balloons!!
Keep an eye on the sky at the Stoweflake 27th Anniversary Hot Air Balloon Festival, July 12-14, 2013 and you will see why this is a summer highlight!
The festival kicks things off on Friday July 12 at 4 p.m. you won’t want to miss the twilight balloon launch at 6:30 p.m. On Saturday earlybirds will enjoy sunrise launches at 6:30 a.m. and Sunday, July 14, and a second twilight launch at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Morning launch viewing is complimentary for all visitors. Evening admission to the festival events is $10 (free for children 12 and under).
Attendees are welcome to take to the air; hot-air balloon rides are $275 per person, plus tax. Reservations recommended. Tethered hot-air balloons rides may be available for $10 per person. Reservations are not required.

This charity helps folks with autism achieve their dreams, attend college, receive vocational training and more. As an added bonus Lance Rice, a gifted beer historian with autism will be visiting. Lance’s dream is to travel to the nation’s greatest breweries and write a book about the history and culture of American beer-Lance’s Brewery Tour is to be an experience!

Summertime and the lake is calling! One of the greatest pleasures of living in the Queen City is the lake Champlain Waterfront. One of the stars of the Waterfront is The Burlington Community Boathouse, a full service Marina with power, water, showers and pump-out facilities. Weather or not, here we come! Burlington’s downtown Waterfront fireworks go off tonight and we’ll be there. If you haven’t been before, go early and plan to wait a bit to leave, as more than 50,000 hit town to watch each year. This year could be just a tad easier as the weather may have some inclined to stay home, but our forecaster says showers taper as the day goes on – so maybe this is the year to do it!! Maybe we’ll see you there tonight.
