The Best Patio Dining Locations in Dallas-Fort Worth
It’s springtime in Texas and the weather is perfect for outdoor patio dining experiences.
We are sharing our top patio choices from across the DFW Metroplex, from Dallas and Fort Worth to their northern expansion neighbors of Plano, Frisco, and Southlake/Grapevine.
Our list includes a wide range of patio atmospheres from finer dining to super casual. The menu spectrum is vast as well.
- Savor Gastropub
2000 Woodall Rodgers Freeway
Dallas, TX 75201
Located ‘on’ the monumental Klyde Warren Park, Savor Gastropub is a feast not only for the taste buds, but all five senses. The contemporary architectural flair called for floor to ceiling glass, so even inside diners experience the five acre deck park visually. Outside, you’ll experience a ‘Manhattan-esque’ skyline of Downtown Dallas, see and hear park patrons walking their dogs, doing yoga, throwing frisbees, laying on the grass, or maybe enjoying live music from the Muse Family Performance Pavilion. Fire pits take the chill off the cool nights as you partake of the fare prepared by Executive Chef John Coleman, formerly of Ritz-Carlton fame.
Reservations are strongly suggested. Click HERE to save your table.
- Truck Yard
5624 Sears St.
Dallas, TX 75201
Quite the opposite of Savor, Truck Yard is super casual. Imagine a really large back yard. With a lot of old trucks, some with food, some are just old trucks. Picnic tables, awnings, a random conglomeration of unmatched tables, chairs, and more. Huge food portions, lots of beverage choices, and live music. Come. Eat, drink, hangout, and enjoy. Wear whatever you want. Great chill option in the ‘Lower (and Lowest) Greenville’ area of East Dallas.
No reservations, but expect a line to get in from around 4:00pm on Thursday until Sunday evening.

- Joe T. Garcia’s
2201 N. Commerce
Fort Worth, TX 76164
Classic. Fort Worth. Tex-Mex. Icon. ‘Joe T’s’ is a must. For locals, for visitors, for business, for events, for families, for everyone ! Joe T. Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant was established on July 4, 1935 by Mr. and Mrs. Joe T. Garcia. With a seating capacity of only sixteen, Joe, his wife Jessie, and their five children ran their tiny business with love and determination. Their business was destined for greatness due to Joe’s stellar personality, and of course, the mouth-watering recipes. (Jessie was affectionately known as Mamasuez to all who knew her.) Customers would wait for hours just to try Mamasuez’s famous enchiladas and her handmade tortillas. Joe was friends with all of his customers, and their affections for the family was shown through their patronage. Joe wasn’t interested in traditional advertising. He believed that the best advertising was by word of mouth. The restaurant’s reputation began to grow, and so did the lines of hungry customers. At Joe’s untimely death in 1953, his wife and youngest daughter, Hope, took over the reins.
Joe T’s is a great stop when spending time in the Fort Worth Stockyards Area.

- Fillmore Pub
1004 E. 15th St.
Plano, TX 75074
The Fillmore Pub is a neighborhood bar located in the heart of Historic Downtown Plano Arts District. With a focus on craft beer, homemade food, and boasting one of the best whiskey selections around. They are sure to have something for everyone. Cheers. We could talk about the historic buildling and the previous businesses that have occupied the space, or the very name ‘Fillmore’and its multiple meanings (and no, its actually deeper than you might think). The best part about Fillmore in our opinion as real estate people is ….Location ! Fillmore’s recent new neighbor is McCall Plaza, a great local venue for live music and outdoor events. Also nearby is the DART Downtown Plano Station, making Fillmore, McCall Plaza, and Plano accessible for people from all over the Dallas area.
